IP Reputation

This article explains why some websites report wrong IP information

Updated today

Sometimes when you connect to our Residential VPN nodes, websites show weird stuff—like a different location, a high fraud risk score, or that it's not Residential.

Here's why this happens:

Some websites are made for commercial reasons.

They make our Residential IPs look bad and push other VPN services instead. It's simple—they whitelist their own VPN IPs to look good, but make ours look bad.

Other websites just use outdated databases.

Since the majority of our Residential IPs are brand new and added daily by real household users, some databases haven't had time to update yet. They usually refresh during a 6-month maintenance window.

💡 Note: The majority of Residential IPs we offer are in good standing. We remove all nodes that don't meet high standards on a daily basis, so you are always connected to the best IP possible.
