Sometimes you may face some connection issues while using Mysterium VPN on your iOS device. Thankfully, there are a few easy fixes to resolve these issues right away!
Try out these suggestions.
Connect to a Different VPN Server
Sometimes, the VPN server you are connected to might have some issues that affect your connectivity. Try connecting to a different server to check if the issue persists:
Open the Mysterium VPN app.
Navigate to the server locations screen.
Press on any country to connect there.
Alternatively, you can press the “power on” button in the app two times to disconnect and automatically connect to a different server.
Check Your Internet Connection
First, check if your iOS device is connected to a stable internet connection via WiFi or mobile network. follow these steps:
Open up the Settings app on your iPhone.
Press on “Wi-Fi.”
Check if you are connected to any WiFi network there.
Open up a browser of your choice and try accessing some common websites, such as Google.
Note: if you are using mobile data, instead of opening WiFi settings, open “Mobile Service” section and check if “Mobile Data” is switched on.
Update the Mysterium VPN App
If the issue persists, update the Mysterium VPN app to the newest version. We are constantly improving the application and it is best to keep the latest version on your device.
To check if any updates are available (or if you are using the latest version), please follow these steps:
Open the “App Store” app.
In the search bar, type in “Mysterium VPN”.
Open the app’s page on the App Store.
Press the blue “Update” button. (If you see the “Open” button, it means that you already have the latest version installed.)
Restart Your Device
Sometimes the easiest solution is the most effective one. Try restarting your device to check if connectivity issues persist. To restart your device:
Press and hold the side button together with either volume up or volume down button.
On the screen that appears, drag the power off slider.
Wait for around 30 seconds.
Press and hold the side button to turn your device back on.
Reset Network Settings
If none of the previous suggestions work, you can try to reset your network settings as a final resort. To do so:
Open up the “Settings” app on your iPhone.
Type “Reset Network Settings” in the search bar.
Press on “Reset Network Settings”
Tap “Reset”
Note: Performing this action will also erase your saved WiFi passwords, which means that you will have to reenter them in order to connect.
