What should I do if my connection is being blocked?

This article explains how to switch to a different protocol

Unfortunately, there are multiple countries which are known to heavily restrict or block VPN traffic while using strict state-controlled internet firewalls. These nations often use Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) to identify and block the high-speed, low-latency traffic characteristics of UDP-based protocols like WireGuard, often forcing users to switch to slower TCP connections that are easier to mask.

To resolve this issue, MysteriumVPN provides a dual protocol option that enables users to switch between WireGuard and OpenVPN. To switch to the OpenVPN protocol:

  • Go to the "Settings" section and select the "Connection" button

  • In the Protocol section, select the OpenVPN protocol

  • Return to the main connection window and try to establish the connection again
